General Dentistry
At No45 Dental, we believe that outstanding general dentistry forms the foundation of lifelong oral health. Our approach is gentle, thorough, and always tailored to your individual needs. From routine check-ups to preventive care and early intervention, we’re here to keep your teeth and gums strong, healthy, and pain-free.
Whether you’re visiting us for a simple examination or ongoing care, your comfort and confidence are our priority every step of the way.
A preventative approach
General dentistry is about more than fixing problems—it’s about preventing them. At each routine appointment, we take the time to examine your mouth in detail, checking not only your teeth but your gums, jaw, and overall oral health. By identifying potential issues early, we can often prevent the need for more complex treatment later. We’ll also offer tailored advice to help you care for your teeth between visits, supporting you to maintain a healthy smile day to day.
Our experienced clinicians use the latest technology and techniques to ensure your care is thorough, effective, and comfortable. If any treatment is needed—such as fillings, crowns, or root canal therapy—we’ll always explain your options clearly, so you feel informed and in control. Our focus is on minimally invasive dentistry wherever possible, using modern materials and techniques to protect and preserve the natural strength and beauty of your smile.
Frequently asked questions
We usually recommend attending a check-up every six months, although we may suggest more or less frequent visits depending on your oral health. Regular check-ups help us catch any problems early and support you in keeping your teeth and gums healthy.
How often should I have a dental check-up?
Full arch dental implants
We’ll carefully assess your teeth, gums, jaw, and soft tissues, and look for signs of tooth decay, gum disease, or other concerns. If necessary, we may take digital x-rays to gain a more detailed picture of your oral health.
What happens during a routine dental examination?
Yes—our dentists, therapists and hygienists work together to provide complete care. While your dentist monitors your oral health overall, your hygienist focuses on gum health and professional cleaning to prevent plaque build-up and gum disease.
Do I need to see the hygienist as well as the dentist?
Absolutely. We completely understand that some patients feel anxious about visiting the dentist, and we're here to help make your experience as calm and reassuring as possible. Our team is experienced in supporting nervous patients with a gentle, understanding approach. For those who need extra support, we offer IV sedation, delivered safely and expertly by Dr Roy Kurtega and his team of consultant anaesthetists. This allows you to feel deeply relaxed during your treatment while still being conscious and responsive. We'll talk you through all your options beforehand to make sure you feel fully informed and in control.
Can you help nervous patients?
Yes—we welcome new patients of all ages and offer a range of options to suit your needs, including membership plans for ongoing preventive care. Please get in touch to find out more or to book your first appointment.
Can I join the practice for general dental care only?
Dental therapy at No45 Dental
At No45 Dental, we’re proud to work with highly skilled dental therapists, Katie and Aneta, who play an essential role in delivering excellent patient care. Dental therapists are specially trained clinicians who carry out a wide range of treatments—from routine fillings and hygiene care to preventative advice and gum health support.
Katie and Aneta look after all of the children in the practice, offering gentle, thorough care and helping to establish positive dental habits from an early age. They also work closely with our dentists to support adult patients with ongoing treatment, ensuring continuity of care and shorter waiting times.
By taking a team-based approach, we’re able to offer greater flexibility and access to treatment—while maintaining the high clinical standards we’re known for.
