Our treatment philosophy is conservative, thoughtful, and tailored to preserve as much of your natural tooth structure as possible.

Rebuilding strength, restoring confidence

Restore your smile at No45

Cosmetic dentistry encompasses a range of treatments that can be combined as part of a full smile makeover. From composite bonding and tooth contouring to professional whitening and clear aligners, we tailor every treatment plan to your individual goals and facial aesthetics. Our smile makeovers are designed to feel like you—just brighter, fresher, and more confident.

Frequently asked questions

A crown covers the entire tooth, while inlays and onlays are more conservative options used when part of the tooth can still be preserved. We’ll assess the strength of your tooth and recommend the most appropriate solution.

What’s the difference between a crown and an inlay/onlay?

Full arch dental implants

Rarely. We use modern anaesthetic techniques to ensure your treatment is comfortable throughout. Many patients are surprised by how smooth and straightforward the process feels.

Are restorative treatments painful?

With proper care, dental crowns and bridges can last 10–15 years or more. We use high-quality materials and expert techniques to ensure durability and long-term success.

How long will a crown or bridge last?

Yes—absolutely. We place great importance on aesthetics as well as function. Every restoration is custom-shaded and shaped to blend beautifully with your surrounding teeth.

Will my restoration look natural?

Yes. Restorative dentistry often plays a key role in smile makeovers, especially if you’re looking to combine functional improvements with aesthetic enhancements like whitening or Invisalign.

Is restorative treatment available as part of a smile makeover?

Meet your restorative dentists

These treatments are often carried out by Matthew, founder and principal dentist at No45 Dental, whose career in restorative dentistry spans over 30 years. Matthew has built a reputation for clinical excellence in cosmetic and restorative care. His experience is global—having trained and worked in the USA, New Zealand, Australia, Brazil, and across the UK—and he brings that depth of knowledge to every treatment he provides. In 2011, he completed a Masters in Restorative Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute, graduating with distinction and further strengthening his expertise in advanced full-mouth rehabilitation and precision restorative techniques.

He has a particular interest in complex restorative cases—those that require careful planning, experience, and a deep understanding of both function and aesthetics. He is trusted by patients and referring dentists across West Sussex and Hampshire to deliver reliable, long-term results with a meticulous and considered approach. His calm, thoughtful manner puts patients at ease, and he takes the time to ensure each treatment plan is clearly explained and individually tailored.

Dental crowns are used to restore and protect teeth that are broken, heavily filled, or have undergone root canal treatment. Custom-made to match the shade, shape and size of your natural tooth, a crown fits over the entire visible part of the tooth to restore its strength and appearance.

At No45 Dental, we use advanced materials such as porcelain and ceramic to ensure your crown blends seamlessly with the rest of your smile. Crowns are carefully designed and crafted with digital scanning and precision lab work, allowing for a comfortable fit and long-lasting result.

Dental bridges

A bridge is a fixed solution for replacing one or more missing teeth. It involves anchoring a false tooth (or teeth) to the natural teeth or implants on either side of the gap. This not only restores your smile aesthetically, but also helps maintain the alignment and bite of your remaining teeth.

We take a meticulous approach to planning your bridge to ensure it looks natural, fits perfectly, and functions effectively. Bridges can be crafted in a range of materials, including all-ceramic for the most natural appearance.

Inlays & onlays

Inlays and onlays are custom-made restorations used when a tooth needs more support than a filling can provide, but doesn’t require a full crown. Inlays fit within the grooves of a tooth, while onlays extend over one or more cusps. Both are made from strong, tooth-coloured materials and are bonded to the tooth for a secure, durable finish.

These restorations are ideal for strengthening teeth weakened by decay or damage, while preserving as much healthy tooth as possible.
